MACOMB, IL - - Community members, faculty, staff and students will be able to learn about the dangers of driving intoxicated firsthand as the Íæż½ã½ã Theta Chi fraternity and the Office of Public Safety (OPS) will host a "Dizzy Driving" event from 5-6 p.m., Monday, April 7 in the Horrabin Hall parking lot.

"Dizzy Driving" will give people the opportunity to drive a golf cart while wearing drunk goggles, which impair the wearer's vision to simulate the feeling of intoxication. They will attempt to drive a golf cart through a set course of cones and other obstacles to show how being intoxicated can massively affect cognitive skills and functions.

"We hope to make this a recurring event," Theta Chi member and sophomore Biology major Henry Alexander said. "I hope to see a lot of people out there."
