Donnie Lee Crawford Obituary

MACOMB, IL - - Former Íæż½ã½ã professor department chairman Donnie Lee Crawford, 94, of Macomb, passed away Friday, March 28 at his home.
Before his time at WIU, Crawford served in the Illinois Army National Guard from 1949-1955 and on active duty in the U.S. Army from 1952-1953.
Crawford, a native of Bushnell, began his WIU career as a faculty assistant in 1954 and retired in 1992.
Throughout his life, Donnie was active in state and national education organizations and served as president of the Illinois Association of Education Communications and Technology (AECT), held national office in the national AECT and was also a board member.
A Celebration of Donnie’s life will be held 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, May 2 at the Small Towner Event Venue, located at 6 West Side Square in Macomb.
